Why choose Vintage?

Perhaps you havre found the dress of your dreams, chic 1965 or a glamorous 1950's Dior gown. Maybe it is the venue that's special - a moated castle with vaulted banqueting hall or a Georgian mansion with sweeping drive and peacocks on the lawn.

Whatever your choice, little details will go a long way. You may choose to invite your guests to take part - Tuxedo's and cocktail dresses for a 20's style event, or you may simply prefer to do contemporary but with a retro twist.

Your wedding invitations will be the first hint your guests will have about the day and can be used beautifully to set the right tone for the entire event.

For a vintage wedding, a white-iced cake is perferable and doesn't have to be a traditional rich fruit but be please be aware that sponges can only be iced in sugarpaste, not Royal Icing.

Flowers too can easily be given a retro feel. Talk to your florist about adding extra foliage such as ivy or ferns.
